"Deeds not words"

Today I would like to tell you about the film that I have watched recently, it means about “Suffragette”. It is a British historical period drama and the first film in history to be shot in the Houses of Parliament.
This film presents the history of women who wanted to have the right to vote and in general to have the same rights as men.
One day, Maud Watts, a young laundress run into one of suffragettes who had been rioting on the street destroying shop windows. Next, Maud met her in the laundry. One day, the wife of a Member of Parliament encouraged the women to fight for their rights. Maud apprehensively joined the suffragettes. She testified to Parliament. Maud’s husband, Sonny was mad at her, because for him, Maud disgraced him. Even so, Maud participated in several suffragette meetings, she was even arrested. Finally, Sonny threw out Maud and gave their son for adoption. In general, Suffragettes used violent tactics in order to get what they wanted. Inspector Steed wanted to help them but I think that he was afraid to object the others men. Once he gave Maud an opportunity to inform him about suffragette’s actions, but Maud refused it.The end is shocking, because while the horse racing, Emily steped onto the horse in flight and after collision with it, her died.
This film shows how it was and it is very touching and shocking, because I can’t believe and understand why the men thought that the women are something worse and that they are unbalanced, if they had gave the women the right to vote, they wouldn’t have lost anything. Irrespective of gender, both women men are human being and they should have the same right. Each of them are equal, there is no better or worse. They should respect each other.
