Beware of Crimson Peak

The latest film which I watched is Crimson Peak. This is a Gothic horror. I don’t like horrors, I prefer thrillers to horrors. I chose this film, because the Gothic castle and the scenery in the trailer I really liked. This film presents the story of sister – Lucille Sharp and brother – Thomas Sharp who are a couple and live in an incestuous relationship. But they keep it secret. They look for a young, rich woman who will marry Thomas to raise money to finance the construction of a machine that extracts the clay – If I remember well, Thomas is an engineer. One day, Thomas meets Edith Cushing, a daughter of Carter Cushing, a man for whom Thomas asked for finances. Right from the beginning, Carter sees that something is wrong with him. Even so, Edith fall in love with Thomas. Edith’s father discovers the truth about the Sharps and bribes them. If they take the money, they must disappear from Edith’s life. The Sharps agreed, but after that, Lucille killed Cushing. After a family tragedy, Edith marries Thomas and moves to the Sharps’ castle which is old, dark and neglected… What happens next? Is Edith safe in this “house”? If you are curious about it, you must watch it :)
