Pierre Lemaitre

Pierre Lemaitre is one of my favourite writers.

Pierre Lemaitre was born in 1951 in Paris. He is French novelist and screenwriter. He is a trained psychologist. He was working with adults, he was teaching them communication, culture and literature. But, one day, he decided to sacrifice all his life to writing. He has made a living from writing since 2006. His novels are translated or being translated into thirty languages. He is internationally recognized in the field of crime story: Stephen King himself considers him "a really great suspense novelist". In 2013, Lemaitre was awarded the Prix Goncourt for ‘Au revoir là-haut’, an epic about World War I.
Lemaitre created a trilogy of Camille Verhœven, the stories about a really short superintendent.
